The ATPC, its board of directors, and member company delegates planned to be in Washington, D.C. September 13-14 for its Q3 2017 board meeting and annual Capitol Hill fly-in. Unfortunately, Hurricane Irma had other plans, causing ATPC Executive Director H. West Richards to postpone the activities.
The decision to reschedule was easy because many member companies are headquartered in or have major operations in Florida, not to mention the storm heavily impacted travel through Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
A “mini” fly-in will take place in November with H. West Richards, the federal government affairs team at Whitmer & Worrall, and available board members walking the halls. Meetings with members of Congress and their staff will focus on the recent P20 conference, and anticipated 2018 legislative activities. The Q4 board of directors meeting is still scheduled for December 4th in Atlanta, and will be followed by the annual holiday reception. The location is being finalized and will be announced shortly.
The inaugural P20 conference in London (October 9-10) and Money 20/20 in Las Vegas (October 22 -25) kept ATPC members busy despite the postponement of the D.C. activities.
