Kush Saxena is executive vice president of U.S. merchants and acceptance for Mastercard. In this role, he manages U.S. merchants and acquirers, pricing and interchange, and business developments efforts for co-brand, prepaid, commercial, transit, healthcare and the public sector. In addition, Kush will also coordinate merchant activities across the globe and serves on the company’s management committee.

Prior to this role, he was chief technology officer of markets and transformation, where he oversaw market-facing technology and operations teams, global technology hubs (delivery centers), strategic program management for all Product and Market technology programs, Technology M&A and enterprise wide technology transformation.

Kush joined Mastercard in 2014 as executive vice president of strategy, corporate development and M&A. In this role, he was responsible for working with executive management, business units and regions to develop long-term strategies for the company and drive Mastercard’s competitive edge within the global payment industry. He was also responsible for pursuing strategic partnerships and investments.

Before joining Mastercard, Kush worked at H&R Block, where he held a number of roles, including chief strategy officer and general manager for the U.S. retail business. Prior to his work with H&R Block, he was an associate partner with McKinsey & Company, in both the New York and Mumbai, India offices.

Kush received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Gujarat University and a Master of Science degree in Management Science and Engineering, with a concentration in Economics and Finance, from Stanford University’s School of Engineering.
